Three Ways To Get Your Press Release Published Successfully
Before we dive into the 3 strategies to publish your press release, it is likely best we first discuss what the hell a press release actually is. A press release is a professional announcement issued by that company to share important updates or news. Press releases are valuable because they keep customers informed about what’s happening within the company. Some examples could be updates to a website, a big event they are hosting in the community, an upcoming sale, or perhaps the release of a new product. Just think an announcement post on Social Media and then you have the idea nailed down of a press release. Read below for more information on the 3 strategies to help with this. If you have been following along over the last few weeks, you are likely starting to see a trend in strategies. To improve your SEO there are some very consistent things that need to be focused on.
Strategy #1: Keywords
Use keywords relevant to the announcement you are making. For example, if I was announcing a new print I will be releasing, I would include words like limited time, print, landscape, sale, fine art print, or some specifics about the photo being printed. It is important to remember to ensure these keywords make it into your html code as well. the goal is to be searchable and findable. So the announcement keywords are for the viewer and the html keywords are to help google make you discoverable.
Strategy #2: Images or digital media of some type (but I am partial to images as a photographer)
Ensure to have high quality, visually pleasant, images in your post. You want it to be something that matches the mood of the announcement yet is also grabbing the viewers attention as they are scrolling through whatever Social Media platform. It will help drastically to ensure you utilize alt text with the image to highlight the keywords of the image and make it more discoverable (better SEO) as well.
Strategy #3: Links
Link back to your website, social media platforms, information sources, or whatever relevant link creation necessary with the announcement. This will help with google better understanding the information you are trying to portray and in turn have google better support the announcement itself. this can include linking or tagging associated websites, socials, or whatever. Not just your own personal links and information. Again, announcement dependent though.
