Spoke and Craig Relaxing Mountain Bike Adventure
Today’s adventure was one focused on slowing down. I wanted to emphasize the importance of being present in a moment and really soaking in the events unfolding in that moment. YouTube, Social Media, even branded ads are focused on high energy and fast paced clips that leave a viewer in awe and amazement. These are fun and exhilarating to watch, sure. But for most of us, completely unrelatable. Most of us aren’t ever going to find ourselves (intentionally) sending a massive canyon gap jump, competing at Red Bull Rampage, or doing backflips at Crankworx. But nearly all of us, pros included, will find ourselves enjoying a fun evening lap down our local trail purely for just that. Fun. Relaxation. To get away from the daily hustle and bustle.
So, this week, remember to take a minute to slow down and really be present in a fun and exciting moment. And most importantly, go find yourself an adventure this week!
Please enjoy this slowed down and peacful adventure video this week! Spoke and I had a blast (and absolutely fried glutes form carrying a heavy camera bag on this) filming this ride! This ride takes place here in Bend, Oregon on one of the local favorite winter riding destinations, Horse Ridge. More specifically, this is Sand Canyon at Horse Ridge. A mostly fast and twisty ride down, you guessed it, a canyon (or really more of a draw to be more topologically correct).
Beneath the video you will find a complete list of gear I use and trust to make these adventures happen!

2025 was the year everything changed. This article is a recap of the year I stepped away from active duty as an Army Field Artillery officer and went all in on building Martin’s Migration — chasing mountain biking, landscape photography, adventure, and a slower, more intentional life outdoors. I recap some of my favorite moments from each month , list my favorite mountain bike trail of 2025, and highlight my favorite photo of the year.
