The Space We Are In Directly Affects How We Feel
In moments of uncertainty, healing, or quiet waiting, the environment around us matters. Sometimes a circumstance prevents the ability to escape to some of these amazing natural places. I want to deliver a viewer the opportunity to escape through an image into a place of calmness, quiet, and wonder.
Nature has a steadying presence under it’s open skies, distant horizons, towering mountains, and motion of the seas. These landscapes are created to bring that same grounded, calm, sensation into indoor spaces where physical access to these places may be difficult. Offering patients, caretakers, and practitioners a visual place to rest.

The Intention Behind the Work
There was a season in my life when anxiety felt constant and overwhelming. During that season, I constantly found myself escaping to the mountains, forests, and streams in pursuit of a quiet and calming environment to help ease the chaos in my mind. Eventually, I began to photograph these outings as a way to almost capture and carry those moments in my pocket. Overtime, I began to realize I wanted to provide this same sense of escape and calm to others.
And so I began curating my photography to create a sense of peace and calmness. Perhaps even inspire a sense of wonder that allows you to set out on an adventure in your mind.
